Gamer'sGuide: to Smash Bros DLC

Can't believe I started this April, and I'm just now finishing it. I just sorta left it for a while, not sure of when I'd ever go back to it...

But with the Smash Bros Fighter Ballot ending next month, I thought I'd show it off. Plus, more characters I've never worked with, and a chance to show the eponymous Gamer's Guide! (Yes, this Sean actually has a job, but I don't. Weird.)

So with the polls closing, I thought about which characters would be most likely to make it as Smash DLC. I've even calculated each character's probability of victory based on factors like: Playability (what games they've been playable in); Potential Movesets; and Fan Support. And my predictions are:

Shantae © WayForward Technologies
    - Shantae (GBC) 2002 / Shantae and the Pirate's Curse (eShop) 2014
    + A large variety of moves available from multiple games / - Might be too obscure, but newest game still in development
    Odds: 80%

Shovel Knight © Yacht Club Games
    - Shovel Knight (various) 2014
    + A unique weapon with various equipment; now has its own amiibo / - Not much pedigree from the developer
    Odds: 75%

Meat-Boy © Team Meat
    - Super Meat Boy (Steam, X360, PS3, Vita, no Nintendo)
    + Unique, simple design / - No real moveset, or Nintendo support
    Odds: 25%

Bayonetta © PlatinumGames
    - Bayonetta (X360, PS3, Wii U re-release) 2009 / Bayonetta 2 (Wii U) 2014
    + Fast, agile, multi-ranged fighter with impressive abilities; Plenty of support and potential / - May need to be toned down a tad
    Odds: 60%

Mickey Mouse © Disney
    - Steamboat Willie (Film) 1928 / Mickey Mouse (G&W) 1981
    + PAC-MAN level of potential moves, including specials from DuckTales, Castle of Illusion, Kingdom Hearts, etc / - Licensing
    Odds: 70%

Wolf O'Donnel © Nintendo
    - Star Fox 64 (N64) 1997 / Star Fox 64 3D (3DS) 2012
    + Last playable in Super Smash Bros Brawl (Wii) / - Another clone character, like Lucas
    Odds: 50%

Solid Snake © Kojima Productions / Konami Digital Entertainment, Ltd.
    - Metal Gear (NES) 1997 / Metal Gear Solid 3D: Snake Eater (3DS) 2014
    + Playable in Super Smash Bros Brawl (Wii), Fan favorite / - Licensing
    Odds: 50% and fluctuating

And as of Oct. 3rd, the ballots have closed...

And as of Dec. 15, BAYONETTA has swept the vote, and will be our final DLC character! (I am very happy with this one)
